Iron oxide yellow and iron oxide red have good light resistance, solvent resistance, alkali resistance, dilute acid resistance and other characteristics, but its heat resistance is slightly worse. It loses crystal water and changes to red phase, so it cannot be used in coatings with high drying temperature.

In the current water-based coatings, synthetic iron oxide yellow is used more. The synthetic iron oxide yellow has high tinting strength, brighter color, better abrasiveness, and has the function of shielding ultraviolet radiation, which can prolong the application life of the coating.

And the synthesized iron oxide yellow can be mixed with stable phthalocyanine blue and iron blue, and brown with iron red and iron black.

In the coloring of latex paint, a small amount of iron yellow color paste can be added to the titanium white paste to make it beige, and the light resistance is better than that of monoazo yellow light fast yellow. Iron yellow durability.
