How to use pigments in cement

According to different cement coloring methods, the following basic requirements are put forward for cement coloring pigments:


Pigments for mixing. It is required to have good durability to the atmosphere and light; good water resistance and stability, the pigment itself is insoluble in water, or the colorant is soluble in water but is made into colored cement and products when it encounters water; good dispersibility, acid and alkali resistance, good heat resistance, Covering; can be mixed with cementitious materials, and does not affect the strength of cement after mixing; high tinting strength, less impurity, less dosage, and low price.


Second, the direct calcination method uses pigments. It is required to have good miscibility, excellent high mixing and color firing; the atmosphere in the calcining kiln has good color uniformity; excellent hydration fading fastness, hardening and color stability under hydrothermal treatment and autoclave conditions; color under the action of atmosphere Stable; after mixing, it has little or no effect on the physical and chemical properties of cement.


Coloring Pigments for Cement-Pigments


Compared with inorganic pigments, pigments have low density, large surface area, good transparency, strong tinting strength and purer hue. The pigments used for cement coloring are only a few varieties such as Shandong Yuhong Pigment Phthalocyanine, Hansha Yellow and Lisol Red. Since the relative density of the pigment is generally less than 1.5, after grinding with the clinker particles and mixing with water, the color bleaching phenomenon will occur. Therefore, a variety of surfactants must be used to improve. When adding pigments into cement, the amount to be added must be strictly controlled, otherwise the strength of the product will be damaged.
